The Alaska SeaLife Center will usher in the Christmas season in grand style next week when it holds its annual Community Holiday Party on November 30. The free event, which was made possible by a grant from the Seward Community Foundation and the Alaska Community Foundation, will get under way at 5:45 p.m. with the official lighting of the ASLC Christmas tree. Following the lighting ceremony, ASLC officials will welcome the arrival of Santa Claus, who will be visiting and taking photos with local youngsters.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the ASLC will stage its Community Holiday Party, offering up cookie decorating, crafts and other activities for attendees.

From 6 to 7 p.m., the Port City Players and the Seward Senior Center will be performing “Revels ‘17,” a look back at Christmas through the years.

During the event, ASLC will also be offering reduced prices on items at the Discovery Gift Shop. For more information about the Community Holiday Party contact the Alaska SeaLife Center at 224-6300.
