The Seward Phoenix Log - News of the Eastern Kenai Peninsula since 1966

Open for business

Leon Youngblood | The Seward Phoenix Log

Resurrect Art Coffee House and Gallery at 320 Third Ave. offers coffee and knoshable snacks in a historic building replete with shoppable gifts and art. Tess Vanderhoof is one of the barristas who keep the java flowing from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., while owners Raylene and Michael O’Connor are seldom absent for long during business hours. 224-7161.

When clouds gather, come in out of the rain. There’s plenty of room under the roofs at Seward shops, and friendly company and conversation. Shopping is inevitable but not always possible, so have a seat and a sip, watch the drops fall and defer some necessary decisions as the clouds swirl and the world goes by. Then, it’s just a pause and a long moment until clouds break and the sunshine shines through.
