Kingergarten class to hold 'play day'

August 10, 2017 | View PDF

Members of the Class of 2030 will get a head start on their school careers over the next few days. Caregivers and parents of incoming kindergartners will be holding “play days” on Aug.. 13 and Aug. 20 as ways to help the children get to know each other prior to the start of school on Aug. 22.

On Aug. 13 and Aug. 20, the students will play on the elementary playground from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This is a parent-led event, and is not sponsored by the school or mandatory for students to attend.

“We thought it would help ease the transition and jitters if the incoming class of 2030 kindergartners and their caregivers had some time to play together and get to know each other before school starts,” said Debra Burdick-Hinton.
