Road crews to focus on Forest Acres during holiday activities

Road construction won’t be too much of an issue for visitors in the downtown section of Seward over the Independence Day weekend. That’s because there won’t be any.

KNIK Construction announced earlier this week that it would be shifting its focus to paving projects in the Forest Acres area during the Fourth of July holiday activities. The company is conducting paving projects throughout the community as part of a multimillion-dollar bond package the city’s residents approved last year.

Seward Assistant City Manager Ron Long told members of the city council at their regular meeting on Monday that KNIK crews would return to their paving projects in downtown Seward after the holiday.
