Seagulls on the tide await the next landing of commercial fishing vessels at Resurrection Bay Seafoods. As the days slip effortlessly into summer, traffic of both the avian and piscine varieties is heavy around Resurrection Bay. As surface temperatures on the water edge upward toward 50 degrees, it's still a cold dip, but by the time of the Seward Silver Salmon Derby the area may break the old record high of 90 degrees with the water hitting 60. Over the past week, two records for high temperatures fell.
