Diaper derby comes off without hitch

Those looking for top drawers excitement made the 28th annual Stylin' Stiches Diaper Derby their bottom line April 19. The event at the AVTEC gym caught most of its 12 diminutive contestants on their best behavior as there was hardly a scowl or squall to be found. Six boys and six girls made it an even match but in the end, it could be only one of each. While MC Maggie Wilkins showed no favor, judges Annette Ray, Pam Grunert, Laura Hughes and Shari Adelmann ruled Delany Lunardi derby queen and Jack Kinney derby king. While the reigning toddlers took their bow, Easter Bunny Sully Hauze helped entertain young ladies Timothea Snell, Gabriella Dixon, Freja Bardarson and Lilah Buck as well as gentlemen Jaxson Macomber, Carson Wright, Tristan Dunham, Leelan Lane and Wyatt Thompson.
