Meg Mackey Band plays Seward Oct. 25
The Meg Mackey Band will play in concert at 6:30 p.m ., Thursday, Oct. 25 in the Seward High School Theater.
Mackey played her first Seward Music and Arts Festival last year and was an instant hit with fans. After missing a booking onstage this year because conflicting gigs, Seward Arts Council is giving the Meg Mackey Band a chance to play this fall. Mackey’s musical world has blown up since the release of her CD “Eat Your Heart Out.” and she has a busy performance schedule both in and out of state. Her song “Heaven Explodes” took the award in the Indie category as well as the Judges’ Choice Award in the 2012 Alaska Song of the Year Contest. She is accompanied by three top notch musicians: Marty Severin, James Glaves and James Dommek Jr ., some of whom have played projects like the Jack River Kings, and Ghost Hands. More about Mackey is on the web at www.megmackey.com.
General admission for the event is $12 and $10 for SAC members. For information contact Mark at 224-9046.
