Joanne Rogers, 84, passed away on Oct. 25, 2017, in Mesa, Arizona. Joanne was born in Cashmere, Washington, in 1933. Her education as a teacher and her natural sense of adventure took her to teaching assignments in Germany and the states of Washington and Alaska. She lived many years in Homer, Alaska, and she referred to it often as "home." She later retired in Apache Junction, Arizona.  She loved to travel, read, cook, craft, organize events in her community and make friends wherever she would go. Her greatest legacy is the countless lives that she touched with her compassion, very special brand of positivity and unwavering Faith.

She is survived by her daughters Karyl and Kimmile, son-in-law Jim, niece Lori, nephew Devin, cousins, Clark, Ardis and David, great-granddaughters Ashley and Alecia, great-nephew Joshua, great-niece Ashley, great-grandchildren Hayden, Violet, Solomon, Ana and Toby, and great-great-nieces Marissa, Fiona and Sara.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, 2 p.m., at the Apache Estates East Clubhouse in Apache Junction. A private burial will follow in 2018 in Cashmere, Washington.

Condolence cards can be sent to 8228 West Yucca Street, Peoria, AZ 85345.
