Nov. 1-30

Archery League begins

The fall session of the Seward Archery League is now under way. The league will run from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 at the Alaska Railroad Terminal. Residents are encouraged to grab their bow and arrows and attend target practice, to compete with other archers, at the Alaska Railroad Terminal. Some can be made available for those needing it. Bows should be 70 pounds and lower.

Nov. 10

Chamber luncheon

The Seward Chamber of Commerce luncheon is scheduled for noon on Friday, November 10, at the Breeze Inn. The guest speaker for the event will be retired judge Elain Andrews.

Veterans honored

Seward Elementary will be holing a special Veterans Day event on Friday, November 10, beginning at 1 p.m. in the school library. Students will share patriotic artwork, poems, letters, songs, conversations and food with honored guests.

Nov. 12

SAC to present play

The Seward Arts Council presents an RKP Production of the play “Church and State,” by Jason Odell Williams on November 11 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. at the Rae Building on 3rd Ave. General admission is $10 and $5 for SAC members, seniors, students and military.

Nov. 20

S/BC FSA to meet

The Seward/Bear Creek Flood Service Area board will hold a work session Monday, November 20, at 6 p.m. at the KPB Seward Annex office in Sea View Plaza. The meeting topics will be Eminent Situation Policy and Board Policy for Review of Permit Applications. For more information contact the SBCFSA office at 224-3340.
