Oct. 26

USFS to hold meeting

The United States Forest Service will hold a meeting on Thursday, October 26, to discuss a request for heli-skiing opportunities in the Seward area. The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Seward Community Library and Museum.

Oct. 27

Chamber luncheon

The Seward Chamber of Commerce luncheon is scheduled for noon on Friday, October 27, at the Breeze Inn. The guest speaker for the event will be Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Superintendent Sean Dusek.

Oct. 28

Budget work session

The Seward City Council will hold a work session to discuss the new city budget. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Teen Masquerade Ball

The Teen Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, October 28, at the Seward Resort from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Oct. 31

Halloween carnival

The annual Halloween Carnival will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, at the Dale R. Lindsey Alaska Railroad facility.

Nov. 1

Vet coordinator visits

Kenai Peninsula College’s veteran service coordinator will be visiting Seward on November 1 to help locals determine whether they are eligible for VA education benefits. The coordinator will be at Seward High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
