Oct. 1

‘Blessing of the Animals’

The annual “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony at the Alaska SeaLife Center will be held this Sunday, October1, beginning at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Oct. 2

S/BCFSA to meet

The Seward/Bear Creek Flood Service Area board will hold a meeting Monday, October 2, at 6 p.m. at the KPB Seward Annex office in Sea View Plaza. The public is welcome to attend. Budget work session

The Seward City Council will hold a work session to discuss the upcoming city budget on Monday, October 2. The meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.

Oct. 3

Election day

Voters are encouraged to go to the polls between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, to help decide several borough and municipal races. For specific data about the election contact the City Clerk’s office at 224-4046.

P&Z work session

The Seward Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a work session on Tuesday, October 3, in the City Annex. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

MWC Taco Feed

The Marathon Wrestling Club will be holding its 5th annual Taco Feed on Saturday, October 7. The fundraiser will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the American Legion hall. For more information contact Jewel Williams at 224-7130

City council meeting

The regular Seward City Council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 9, in the council chambers at City Hall.
