Lindquist races to win in Homer

Seward’s Ruby Lindquist continued to dominate the cross country scene this past weekend by racing to the top spot at the Homer Spit Time Trials.

The SHS senior posted a time of 19 minutes and 12.3 seconds in the race and edged out rival Autumn Daigle of Homer by almost 8 seconds.

Emma Moore legged out a top 10 mark in the event. She was seventh overall with a personal-best time of 20:20.1.

Hanna Cooney and Sadie Lindquist also did well. Cooney finished 11th, while Sadie Lindquist was 12th.

Sophomore Kalista Rodriguez turned in a personal-best of 22:58.5 and finished 19th. Teammates Sophia Dow was 23rd.

Shiprah Brueckner (34th), Maranatha Brueckner (37th), Reanna Brewi (51st) and Dania Schulze (57th) also competed in the meet.
