Sept. 18

Meet the candidates

The Seward Chamber of Commerce will be holding a “Meet the Candidates” forum on Monday, September 18, in the Seward City Council Chambers. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. During the event residents will get the opportunity to meet and hear from borough and city candidates.

SBCFSA meeting

The Seward/Bear Creek Flood Service Area board will hold a regular meeting Monday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at the KPB Seward Annex office in Sea View Plaza. The public is welcome. The meeting agenda and packet can be found at http://www.kpb.us/service-areas/sbcfsa/sbcfsa-meetings.

Sept. 20

SHPC meeting

The Seward Historic Preservation Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Annex. A work session will follow the meeting.

Sept. 22

Chamber luncheon

The Seward Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly business members luncheon on September 22 at the Breeze Inn, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Mt. Alice Conference Room.

Sept. 25

Council work session

The Seward City Council will meet in a work session on Monday, September 25, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the future of the city owned property formerly leased to the U.S. Air Force (the Air Force Rec Camp).  The property is located in the Fort Raymond Subdivision on the west side of the Seward Highway (Lot 7A, Fort Raymond Subdivision, 2109 Dimond Blvd).

Comments can be directed to the City Clerk at clerk@cityofseward.net and the public is invited to attend and speak at this work session.

City council meeting

The regular Seward City Council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 25, in the council chambers at City Hall.
