'Alaskaman' triathlon slated to held in Seward in July 15


The “Alaskaman” triathlon will hit town on July 15 when more than 4300 extreme athletes try their hands at one of the nation’s toughest events.

As part of the event, athletes will swim 2.6 miles in Resurrection Bay, beginning near Miller’s Landing at 4 a.m.. After finishing the swim, the athletes will and hit the road for a 112-mile ride up the Seward Highway to Girdwood. From there, they will complete a 27-mile over trails going up Mt. Alyeska.
