Wildlife Rescue Run & Walk set for July 29

 


Area runners and walkers will get a chance to put their feet where their hearts are next month when the 19th Annual 5K Wildlife Rescue Run & Walk gets under way. The annual event will begin at the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward on Saturday, July 29.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Alaska SeaLife Center’s Wildlife Response program, which rescues marine wildlife.

Runners and walkers should begin checking in at 10 a.m. The Run & Walk will start at noon. Those who are unable to attend the event, can still participate via the Internet.ASLC is also offering a Virtual Runner program that will enable those who wish to run or walk to do so on their own schedule.
