Seward Mayor Jean Bardarson presented recent Seward High School graduates Sullivan Hauze, Tia Miranda and Eli Davis with plaques during a brief ceremony in the city council chambers.

"These years show impressive dedication and community and show the value of volunteering," Bardarson said. "We are very thankful for the many years and various hours and acts of service that you have contributed to the Teen and Youth centers, Seward Parks and Recreation and the City of Seward. We anticipate you will further bring honor and recognition to the TYC and your hometown of Seward."

After receiving the award, Hauze told members of the council he would be attending college in Nebraska. Miranda said she would be enrolling in the UAA radiological program this coming fall. Davis will be entering the local workforce.
