Annual Tri-Harder-Thon is scheduled for July 22


Outsdoors enthusiasts will get a chance to test themselves against one of the tougher events on the calendar in July when the 2017 Subway Tri-Harder-Thon gets under way. Seward’s own adventure triathlon. The event will be held Saturday, July 22 starting at Primrose Campground area.

Only a few days after the staging of the annual Mt. Marathon race, area residents - as well as those from other parts - will get the opportunity to compete in the kayak-hike-bike competition that spans 26 total miles. During the race, entrants will complete a 5-mile kayak course The race consists of a 5-mile kayak race on Kenai Lake, and then face off against a 6-mile trail run on the Primrose/Meridan Trail. They will complete the event with a 15-mile road bike from the Grayling/Meridian trailhead to Seward.
