The following is from the journals of the Seward Police Department. Those who have been arrested or summoned are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

April 24

0032 - RP called 911 stating that he needed blood pressure medication but refused an ambulance. Officers responded to the pavilion on Ballaine Blvd. and took subject to the hospital after he provided a pbt of .314. A second subject was advised that the park closes at 11pm and agreed to move on.

0159 - Verbal warning given to WILLETH JACKLYN PHILLIP at Seward and South Harbor Street for speed and tail light out.

0826 - Citation issued to TRISTAN NEWTON while driving at 4th Avenue by the Bakery for reflector requirements.

0930 - Ambulance requested to SCCC. SVFD/SVAC dispatched.

1311 - Ambulance requested to SCCC. SVFD/SVAC dispatched.

1310 - RP reported a female driving a silver Chevy pickup on the bike path near the airport. Officer responded.

1319 - Library requested an Officer in reference to found drugs. Officer responded.

1355 - 911 misdial from the Seward Mountain Haven, Fireweed lodge from a patient. Spoke with nurse who said everything is fine.

1416 - Investigative stop on a silver Nissan Sentry at Seward and Airport.

1417 - Citation issued to NATHANIEL KUGLER at Seward and Airport for speed.

1442 - P&R Director requested an Officer for a parked vehicle at the Center SBH Parking lot. Officer responded and issued a parking warning to AK LIC/DMX843.

1529 - Report of fire alarm at St. Pete’s Episcopal Church. D80 and D81 responded.

1949 - Officer was stopped by a citizen who had a loose dog. Officer met the citizen at the animal shelter and placed the dog in a kennel with food and water.

1952 - RP advised of a disturbance at the Taroka Inn Unit. Officers contacted MICHELLE MEGANACK who advised that male had already left the area. Officers gave MEGANACK a disorderly conduct warning

April 25

0048 - Ambulance requested to Nash. SVAC/BCVFD dispatched. Response forms sent.

0154 - Driver for Resurrection Taxi, turned in a wallet to the police station he found in his taxi.

0904 - An automated misdial was received from the loading facility of Safeway. An employee stated he accidentally hit the button and confirmed multiple times there was no emergency. When asked his name he walked away and continued working. On callback the call couldn’t be completed as dialed.

1032 - Written warning issued to vehicle, JCR910, at 4th Avenue in front of the Sea Bean.

1053 - Spring Creek Correctional Center advised that they will be doing fire alarm testing today.

1122 - RP called 911 to report that her yellow Schwinn bicycle was stolen from in front of the AK Starfish store. An officer responded and made contact with a female on the suspected bike at the Post Office. The rider advised that she rented the bicycle for the summer from the Bike Shop on 4th Avenue. The bike was returned to owner.

1132 - RP reported that there was a vehicle parked in front of the AVTEC dorms on 4th Avenue that was impeding a maintenance project. Officer responded and advised RP of his options.

1452 - Russian Store, Urbach’s, The Alaska Shop, Mountainview Sports, Sew and Bee Cozy.

1504 - Axcel Fire Systems called to advise that they will be doing fire alarm testing at Dimond Boulevard today.

1702 - Citation issued to BRUCE JAFFA at 3rd and B St for failure to carry proof of insurance. Verbal warning given for speed.

2043 - Verbal warning given to RANDALL KUYKENDALL at Dimond and Birch for obscured plates.

2303 - SAST advised of a driving complaint on Eagle Lane. The driver swerved into the oncoming lane. The vehicle was seen heading toward town. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

2325 - RP advised of a fight outside of Breeze Inn Lounge. Officer contacted two subjects who advised they are just goofing around with each other.

2353 - Parking complaint issued to SEAN KEENAN CLANCY in South 72 hour lot for parking where prohibited for lot sweeping.

April 26

0004 - Parking complaint issued to MISTY DAWN DENSMORE in South 72 hour lot for parking where prohibited for lot sweeping.

0015 - Parking complaint issued to GREGORY ARTHUR BOTTJEN in South 72 hour lot for parking where prohibited for lot sweeping.

0023 - Parking complaint issued to MARCUS DESSTA ESHETU in South 72 hour lot for parking where prohibited for lot sweeping.

1353 - 911 caller asking for ER to meet her at the ER door.

1418 - DTA, Russian Store (radio dead zone), Urbach’s, AK Store, Mountain View Store, Sew N Bee Cozy, Cover to Cover Books, Flyin Skein, Frontier Trading Post.

1512 - RP, advised Officer that she got into an argument with subject over parking.

1520 - Citation issued to MISUN CHUN, while driving at 3rd and Jefferson for passing school bus.

1603 - RP called 911 to request an ambulance at Bronze Avenue. The patient was transported to the hospital.

1712 - RP reported that there were suspicious individuals in the area of 6th and Monroe that were looking into houses and were looking in the window of the 4Plex on 6th and Monroe. Officer responded and was unable to find anyone matching the description in the area.

1725 - RP called to report loud teenagers at the skate park that were yelling profanities in front of her 5th grade students at the pavilion. An officer responded and made contact with the teenagers at the skate park. They were advised to keep the noise and the profanities down.

1808 - RP reported a silver midsize SUV that was crossing the center line multiple times and driving very slowly. The vehicle was reported to be heading northbound from the NAPA store. An officer responded and was unable to make contact with the vehicle. AST was advised of the REDDI.

1824 - RP reported that she had lost her keys in the area of Ukanuzit around the date of 04/21/17. The item was logged in lost and found.

1831 - RP reported that there was an unoccupied black baby stroller at the Williams Park campground. Officer made contact with RP and a mother with child returned to the stroller.

2029 - RP called 911 to report that there was a younger couple that was shooting a BB gun towards targets that were perpendicular to the bike path in front of the Waterfront campground. Officer made contact with subject and advised them that shooting any type of firearm is banned within city limits.
