Get 'intimate' with Him

Well, Christmas is past and we are now in a New Year. Our prayers are that everyone had a joyous Holiday time.

I recently saw this quote,”No one can go back and start a new beginning, But any one can start today and make a new ending.” I really began to think about that statement. The conclusion was that we don’t start over; but we begin again right were we are, making things better in our lives.

As a believer in Christ, it is not about saying, “I will do this and I won’t do that” and then dropping the idea or falling short. It is more about asking the Lord to help us each day, to fall deeper and deeper in love with Him. This way our focus will be set on things of Heaven and not on all this earthly stuff.

So many times people will make New Years resolutions and then become saddened when they come short of their goals. I have said many times that New Years resolutions were only broken promises to ourselves. The Apostle Paul said [paraphrased] I set my goals for things on High and not on things below. I basically I put my trust in God and not this world.

If we were to make a New Years resolution, it would, or should, be to have a deeper commitment, a deeper love, and a deeper worship for the Lord.

In the beginning of this past year the Lord spoke to my heart while in prayer and said, “I am more than enough, I am more than enough in every area of your life.”

So I share that with you as we start this New Year. He is more than enough for you and your needs this year.

This year, 2017, I am more determined to make Him my all and all. He wants our undivided attention in spite of all of the distractions and temptations that lie waiting around the corner. He has to be our main focus.

How we end this year 2017 will be determine how we start it. Will we want to get more “intimate” with the Lover of Our Soul? Do you want a new and different ending this year?

Purpose in your heart to have a closer walk with the Lord this year and watch the transformation of your life.

Blessings to all and may the Holy Spirit enrich your Life in 2017.
