'Meet the Candidates' to be held tonight

Seward residents will get a chance to mingle with the candidates for the upcoming city council election this evening during a special “Meet The Candidates” forum. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Seward Community Library and Museum.

During the meeting, which is being sponsored by the Seward Chamber of Commerce, local residents will be able to hear comments from all six candidates vying for a position on the city’s governing body. Among the candidates slated to attend the “Meet The Candidates” forum will be incumbents Marianna Keil, Dale Butts and Ristine Casagrande. Erik Slater, John Hull, Jr. and Suzanne Towsley are all attempting to gain seats.

Residents unable to attend the meeting will be able to listen to the candidates via several methods, including the radio and Internet. The forum will be broadcast on KIBH-FM 91.7. The forum will also be streamed live on the Seward Public Radio Facebook page.
