August 4, 2016 | View PDF

Early voting and Absentee In Person voting has begun for voters in Alaska that are wishing to cast their ballots in the upcoming state primaries. According to the state’s election guidelines, all voters are eligible to vote early beginning Aug. 1, 2016.

Seward voters looking to take advantage of the early voting opportunity can stop by Seward City Hall to cast their ballots. The Seward council chambers will be open for voting from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, from now until Aug. 15. Individuals wishing to cast early ballots will need to bring a form of ID.

Candidates will not be allowed to campaign near city hall during the early voting period. As city hall is an official voting location, no campaigning will be allowed within 200 feet of the building’s entrances.

For more information about early voting or other election concerns, contact the city clerk’s office.
