Library to host book signing by Alaska historian on July 23

Residents of the eastern Kenai Peninsula will find themselves with a special opportunity on Saturday, July 23.

The Seward Community Linrary & Museum will be hosting a book signing event for Alaska historian Doug Capra. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.

As part of the event, Capra will sign books, answer questions and share stories from the book, "The Spaces Between: Stories from the Kenai Mountains to the Kenai Fjords." He will also present information about Alaska Nellie, from a biography he is currently writing.

"Anyone with any interest in Alaska's pioneer past will find this work by historian Doug Capra packed with fascinating examples of Seward-area characters and their all-but-incredible lives," said former Alaska Writer Laureate Nancy Lord.

Books will be available for purchase during the event.
