Input sought about public recreation area at Bear Lake

The Seward Rotary Club is seeking citizen input regarding a possible public recreation area on Bear Lake. The land being considered is a newly acquired selection by the Kenai Peninsula Borough from the State of Alaska and is yet unclassified.

Rotary is asking for the community’s input as to whether a portion of that land should be set aside for recreation, and if so what improvements, if any, people would like to see there.

If the community is in favor of an improved recreation area, the club will pursue helping that become a reality.

The survey is online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P8YCJXR. The survey closes Feb. 29.
