The following is from the journals of the Seward Police Department. Those who have been arrested or summoned are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Oct. 31

08:47 - Verbal warning for speed given at Seward Highway and Aspen.

09:48 - Citation for expired registration issued to Ira Koker. Verbal warning for speed.

13:19 - Citation for speed issued to Bridget Willet at Third and D.

Nov. 1

23:00 - Individual requested an officer to talk to their neighbors at Fourth and A about a barking dog. Dog was brought inside.

23:43 - Individual reported that he could smell what he thought was burning plastic.

Nov. 2

00:25 - Verbal warning for speed given at Seward Highway and Sea Lion.

02:45 - Ambulance requested to Glacier View Apartments. SVAC/SVDS dispatched.

07:24 - Ambulance requested to the airport to transport the flight crew to the hospital.

08:01 - Verbal warning for speed given at Seward Highway and Hemlock.

08:16 - Officer left parking warning on a vehicle in front of the Sea Bean.

09:02 - Citation issued for proof of insurance at Seward Highway and Airport Road. Verbal warning for speed.

11:18 - Verbal warning for speed given at Seward Highway and Nash Road.

11:45 - Citation for speed issued to Dustin Reini at Bayside Apartments.

12:00 - Hamilton Construction did blasting at the city rock quarry.

12:30 - Verbal warning for speed and expired registration given at Safeway.

12:50 - Citation for proof of insurance issued to Basil Dougherty at Seward Highway and Hemlock. Verbal warning for speed.

13:08 - Elementary school did a fire drill.

19:15 - Citation for tail light requirement issued to Lance O. Allen. Verbal warning for having an out-of-state driver’s license past required date.

23:23 - Citation for failure to carry proof of insurance issued to Edward Bradbury Entwisle on Seward Highway at North Harbor. Verbal warning for speed and brake light out.

Nov. 3

05:28 - Individual with Wells Fargo Security, advised of an alarm sounding at Wells Fargo. Officer contacted the subject who said that she was part of the cleaning crew and they needed to clean the bank before it opens. Officer contacted the manager who told the cleaning crew to leave until they alarm system could be repaired.

10:04 - SCCC reported their fire alarm went off due to dust in the ducts. No response needed.

10:08 - Ambulance requested to meet LifeMed crew at the airport for medevac. SVAC dispatched and advised they would have two ambulances out since LifeMed advised there were two patients.

10:54 - 911 caller requested an ambulance to Jesse Lee Drive. Officer, SVFD, SVAC dispatched.

11:15 - Individual reported losing his black Quicksilver wallet.

13:27 - Michael Alvarez arrested for a SAST warrant ($5,000 for two counts of MICS IV) at Marina Motel and taken to SCJ.

14:18 - Individual requested that an officer do a welfare check on a male leaning against the building at Once in a Blue Moose. Officer was unable to locate the individual in the area.

17:39 - Individual requested an officer to Glacier View Apartments about someone going through the garbage and construction debris. Officer did not locate anyone.

19:40 - Individual requested an officer for an intoxicated person, who may be leaving with small children in a vehicle. Traffic stop initiated at Third and Washington. PBT .000.

22:22 - Troopers arrested Kristopher Calvin Panichello-Schell for probation violation and transported him to SCJ

Nov. 4

06:55 - Verbal warning for failure to come to complete stop at stop sign given at Seward Highway and Van Buren.

08:06 - AST reported a domestic disturbance on Eagle Lane and that they were trying to start a residence on fire. Trooper, BCVFD, SVAC, SVFD dispatched. Trooper advised fire was out and all units could cancel.

12:42 - Troopers arrested Adrian Rhoades on a Palmer AST JS Warrant ($1,000, FTA OC Criminal Mischief/Criminal Trespass I) and transported him to SCJ.

15:00 - Blasting would be done at the city rock quarry Nov. 4.

16:12 - SVFD advised that SCCC reported that there may be a fire alarm due to a malfunctioning refrigerator.

17:15 - SeaView advised that they would be testing the fire alarm

20:25 - 911 caller requested to be transferred to a sheriff’s department in Washington state. Caller advised to find the number and call directly.

Nov. 5

08:10 - Individual requested an officer to First about Tanya Tolson refusing to leave. Tolson arrested for criminal trespass and taken to SCJ.

14:54 - 911 caller requested an ambulance to Eadsville. BCVFD/SVAC dispatched.

15:18 - Seward Mountain Haven had a scheduled fire drill.

15:26 - Hamilton Construction would be blasting at the rock quarry at 16:00 hours.

15:50 - Individual reported her parked vehicle was hit when she was at Safeway.

16:05 - 911 caller reported that her neighbor was setting his own house on fire. He was known to carry weapons.

16:10 - Earthquake: Magnitude 5.0, 50 miles southwest of Nikolski. No tsunami was expected.

16:34 - Verbal warning for headlight requirement given at Third and C.

17:14 - An ambulance requested to Haven.

18:41 - Investigative stop on a red Ford pickup.

Nov. 6

19:50 - Individual reported that a subject kicked his vehicle when he told him that he no longer drove a cab.

19:53 - 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the wooded area across from 500 Hemlock. She said that it had been there for about two hours and when she turned on her light, the vehicle turned their lights off. Officer was unable to locate.

08:51 - Citation for speed issued to Anne Madsen at Third and Monroe.

09:07 - AVTEC Maritime did a flare exercise near SMIC.

09:27 - Officer responded to the middle school for a disturbance. Officers advised that school requested that Bobby Croom be criminally trespassed from all three Seward schools..

12:33 - Verbal warning for speed given Seward Highway and Sea Lion.

12:45 - Verbal warning for speed given Seward Highway and Resurrection.

13:26 - 911 caller from Shoreside Petroleum reported that a male and female were in a domestic disturbance and the male had a gun on his person. The reporting party said they left in a black Pontiac car, unknown plate, heading into town. Officer was unable to locate.

21:40 - APD requested assistance locating next of kin for subject who was deceased. Officer located a relative out of state. APD was notified and was going to contact the family.

23:32 - Citation for failure to carry proof of insurance issued to Dean Michael Engelhauptat Fourth and A.
