Halloween Carnival

The Annual Community Halloween Carnival is coming up Friday, Oct. 31, 6 to 9 p.m. Booth space is available, to reserve a spot call Shari at 224-4057; email or go to to download a form.

Glacier Family Medicine Pumpkin Prowl at Forest Acres Park

Saturday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Search for mini pumpkins, roast marshmallows and sip hot cocoa. Free event, fun for the whole family.

Family Masquerade Ball

Saturday, Oct. 25 following the Pumpkin Prowl walk on over to the Seward Resort and do the Monster Mash, enjoy refreshments and win prizes! Costume contest will be announced at 8 p.m. $3 in costume; $4 no costume and $10 for families.

Parks & Rec seeking part-time, on-call employees to officiate

The City of Seward Parks and Recreation department is seeking part-time, on-call employees to officiate a variety of adult and youth sports over the school year and next summer. With training, officials will referee and umpire adult and/or youth basketball games, adult volleyball and adult softball games, as well as possible youth soccer games. Pay increases and advancement may be available based upon experience, skill, certification, knowledge, professional-rating and uniform use.
