Seward schools in need of substitutes

Seward area schools are in need of more good substitutes! If you are interested in subbing as a teacher, aide, tutor, food service worker or custodian, please contact Randi Broyles at the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Office at (907) 714-8845 for more information. If there is enough interest, there is a definite possibility training would be held in Seward.

Kenai Peninsula College offering yoga classes

Beginning Yoga October 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29; November 3, 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30pm-7pm- Instructor: Gail Burnard Cost $179 (tuition and fee). Intermediate Yoga November 10,12,17,19,24,26 ; December 1,3,8,10 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-7 p.m. Instructor: Gail Burnard Cost $179 (tuition and fee). Middle School looking for volunteers

Seward Middle School will be hosting their Cross Country Running Invitational on Friday, Sept. 5 at 3:00 p.m. They will be running the event on the XC trails with the start and finish line on High School athletic fields. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact : Coach Sarah Wottlin at: sarah_wottlin@hotmail.com or (951) 553-9871 or Jason Bickling at jbickling@kpbsd.k12.ak.us or 224-9000. We will have a meeting at 2:15 p.m. on the Football Field to orient /train volunteers. Course Walk Through 2:45 p.m. Girls Race: 3:30 p.m., boys race 4 p.m. and community race 4:30 p.m. We will need people to volunteer as course monitors/directors and start/finish Line workers.
