The following is from the journals of the Seward Police Department. Those who have been arrested or summoned are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

August 1

11:00Officer requested for civil standby on Z float . Officer responded.

11:21 - 911 pocket dial from subject at Icicle Seafoods. Callback revealed all ok.

12:43 911 hang up from City Hall. Unable to callback. Officer advised.

12:44 - 911 pocket dial from subject at 1900 blk Forget Me Not Circle working construction. All ok. Officer advised.

12:45 - Anonymous RP reported a domestic disturbance at 200 blk 3rd Avenue. Officer responded and made contact with male and advised verbal argument only.

13:42 - RP reported that she was scared while in her apartment at Glacier View. Officer responded and conducted a welfare check on RP. D8

14:22 - Received two 911 open line calls in the area of The Seward Military Resort at 500 blk Hemlock Street. Sounds of kids playing in the background. No sounds of distress could be heard. Unable to callback due to the 911 prefix. Information given to officer.

15:19 - 911 call reporting boat engine is out and needs a tow. Caller was given the number to Millers Landing.

00:25 - Trooper brought in JACE FESLER, AK.ID for a warrant.

02:08 - RP reported a group of loud people near the Episcopal Church who sounded very agitated. Officer responded and believed that it was some of the same individuals involved in the fight at the Yukon.

03:18 - Call received reporting they had gotten a message from (911) saying there was flooding in the Seward area. They called back the number and were routed to the police station’s 911 system. Dispatch was unable to explain how this happened and assured them there was no flooding. Reported to Officer.

04:08 - RP X 2 reported over the admin. phone a large fight at the Pit Bar. Dispatch reported to AST and AST requested an officer to assist. Trooper also responded. Officer was first on scene. AST and Officer requested a medic for a male with a head injury from the fight. SVAC/BCVFD were dispatched and transported patient to the hospital. Officer furnished transport for one involved individual to Icicle Seafoods.

04:08 - DAVID FERRIERA reported that female slapped him in the face causing a laceration in his mouth. This occurred at Pacific Parks Apt. while he was contacting his ex-girlfriend. Officer responded and spoke with FERRIERA. Then he went to the other Apt. and spoke with several subjects who all said that FERRIERA had been to the Apt twice that evening and let himself in uninvited then refused to leave. Officer arrested FERRIERA for DV criminal trespass II and transported him to SCJ.

17:00 - Anonymous caller advised on 911 of an intoxicated driver that left Seward en route to Kenai in a Red Pontiac Vibe. A 60 YOA female driver has a bottle of whiskey in the car with her and left Seward 15 minutes ago. SAST Advised

18:59 - RP called to advise that she is locked in the dump. D90 went out with a key to let her out.

20:52 - RP advised that there is an intoxicated male at their camp fire refusing to leave. He is a white male with a bicycle. Contacted subject who was advised not to bother anyone else.

21:21 - RP who was camped in the ball field at 1000 4TH Ave dialed 911 to report her nieces, age 7 and 9 missing. In just a few minutes she called and advised that they had been found.

21:32 - Kenai Flight Service requested an airport check for a white, brown and maroon Cessna 170, 2580D. The plane is overdue about 30 minutes and advised that they were site-seeing over Spencer Glacier. Flight service called back and the pilot called in that he was on the ground safely here in Seward

August 2

08:57 - Anonymous RP brought in a female purse. Property logged into Lost/Found Book.

12:00 - RP reported his bike missing from the Breeze Inn. Property logged into Lost/Found Book.

13:23 - Received multiple reports from Glacier View Apartments reporting that, TIFFANY SWARTZ, AK/OLN has been yelling and screaming at someone in her apartment for the past hour. Officer responded and contacted SWARTZ and the Manager of Glacier View Apartments. Officer spoke to SWARTZ and she was given a Disorderly Conduct Warning for unreasonable noise.

13:32 - Received a report of the cap on a Fire Hydrant next to the Skate Park on Ballaine is off. D49 with WASTE/WATER department was notified.

14:06 - Anonymous RP brought in a male wallet. Property logged into Lost/Found Book.

22:07 - RP from the Holiday Inn Express, advised that there was an intoxicated male in the parking lot. Subject is a white male, 601, blond wearing a gray shirt and jeans. Contacted subject who was given a ride to the docks.

00:32 - RP reported a large group making noise in Williams Tent Campground. Officer made contact with group in Space 720 and advised them to keep the noise down. They said they were moving to another spot.

00:47 - RP reported a female pounding on a room door and yelling at the Harbor View Hotel. Officer contacted female outside her room. Officer spoke with manager and got subject a second key to her room so that she was able to get back in. Officer also advised her and her boyfriend to keep it down and go to bed.

01:26 - Report of 4 individuals fighting outside of the Buick Apartments. Officer found when he arrived that subjects had dispersed and the fight was now over.

15:18 - RP reported that someone unplugged some electronic equipment in a building that he rents for the City of Seward. Officer spoke to RP and found case to be a civil issue.

16:22 - An earthquake occurred in the E. Caroline Islands in Micronesia with a magnitude of 7.2. No tsunami is expected

16:31 - RP reported on 911 that an intoxicated driver in a Blue Ford Truck and camper, FM34, was behind him. He also stated that there was an officer behind the vehicle and they all pulled into the Safeway parking lot. Verbal warning given for failure to maintain lane.

17:13 - A Wells Fargo Debit card was found on the bike path.

17:13 - A Samsung phone belonging to subject was turned in to the Police Department. Owner’s mother was contacted and she left a message for him. He works at Icicle Seafoods.

17:24 - RP called 911 to report that a puppy has been left in a car at the Kenai Fjords Free Parking Lot for the past 6 or 7 hours. It is a Silver Mazda GGD113. The windows were down to create a breeze and it had a bowl of water in the vehicle. It was not panting

18:26 - Troopers arrested PETER DALE HEIN, AK/OLN, FOR DUI AND CIMBERLEE MAE CARLSON, AK/OLN for probation violation. Both parties were incarcerated in the SCJ.

18:42 - RP reported his 4 year old daughter missing. Last seen wearing purple pants and white long sleeved shirt approximately 10 minutes ago. While still on 911 the child was located. No further action.

1930 - An ambulance was requested to Mt Haven, Fireweed Lodge for an 85 year old male with a change in mental state and hypoxia.

20:26 - Alaska Shop, Thorns, Debs Hair Salon, Christo’s, Seward Brewing Company, Tony’s, Yukon, Nellie’s, Sweet Darlings, Patagonia, Ale House, Sew and Bee Cozy, Cover to Cover Books, Starbird Studios, Flying Skein, Grants, Jaffa Construction, Russian Store, Chattermark Restaurant, Urbachs, Seward Property, Advocacy Center, Body Abode

21:27 - A yellow pit bull mix was reported in the area of Resurrection Camp Ground North. The caller advised that it was a yellow pit bull mix and that his back was all red possibly sunburned. Officer made contact on 6th between Adams and Jefferson.

August 3

07:40 - RP reported her little black card case lost. Property logged into Lost/Found Book.

11:50 - Received a 911 call reporting a male just collapsed in the area of the Ball Fields at the corner of 4th Avenue and D Street. Response form sent.

13:13 - RP from the Marina Motel reported an RV hit a decorative power lamp at the corner of North Harbor St and 4th Avenue. Officer responded and observed no damage to the lamp.

1519 - Received a 911 open line call from (911) ******. Call was in the area of 1100 blk 4th Avenue. No sounds of distress could be heard in the background. Sounds of equipment could be heard. Unable to call back the 911 prefix. Information given to officer.

07:40 - RP reported her little black card case lost. Property logged into Lost/Found Book.

11:50 Received a 911 call reporting a male just collapsed in the area of the Ball Fields at the corner of 4th Avenue and D Street. Response form sent.

15:30 - Several pocket dials were received from 911-******. The sound of machinery was heard and normal tone of conversation but in a foreign language. A 911 area code prevented a call back

15:55 - Railroad Terminal, Cruise Ship Terminal, and X Float

16:03 - Elderly male fell in the entryway of Safeway. Possible seizure

16:18 - Turning Heads Kennel on Exit Glacier requested an ambulance for a 25 year old female with abdominal pain

16:32 - RP reported two large explosions behind his house at 13200 blk Seward Highway in the Lost Lake Area.

16:39 - Troopers arrested FELICIA FRANCIS CUBLEY, AK/OLN FOR DWLR. She was incarcerated in the SCJ

17:24 - A male subject called 911 reporting a possible altercation in front of the old library. One subject left in a maroon Chevy van, DJJ579. The male driver also had words with a man Southside trying to bail out an inmate. The female was crying outside the PD and the officers let her in to talk to her. Report was unfounded.

19:00 - RP requested a civil standby at 500 blk 2nd Ave while she picked up one bag.

August 4

09:09 - RP, reported that last Saturday, someone hit his vehicle, LIC/EJV776, at the Safeway parking lot. Officer spoke with RP.

11:26 - RP, with the Hotel Edgewater, spoke with an Officer reference a guest not paying their hotel bill.

12:29 - 911 misdial from subject at Peking Restaurant. All ok. Officer advised.

13:55 - Community Health called to advise that male called her and said that he was going to kill himself. It was unknown where he was but his home address is in SAST service area. SAST called back and said he is outside of 3 bears sitting on a trash can. Ambulance requested for chest pains for subject who was located in the tunnel by Three Bears

1413 - RP, reported his bike helmet was stolen from the Gold Rush. It had 3 skulls in the front and flames in the back.

15:27 - Kids playing with fireworks at a 200 blk 2nd Ave. cross from Little Bear Mountain Apartments.

21:30 RP reported harassing phone calls from his sisters x boyfriend.

21:52 An ambulance was requested at Little Bear Mt Apts, for a 38 Year old Female hyperventilating and alcohol is involved.

22:07 - RP advised of a loud argument coming from the Pacific Parks Apartments. Officer responded and contacted JASON DAVIS, and CRISTINA GUSATU. Both parties were given disorderly conduct warnings and DAVIS went to his sister’s house for the evening.

23:43 - RP requested an officer to William’s Tent camping where an intoxicated male is threatening the surrounding campers. Officer responded and contacted SAMUEL FERGUSON, CA.OLN, who was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to SCJ.

01:41 - RP requested an officer to Glacierview Apt in reference to a woman screaming. RP advises that she is probably alone. Officer responded and contacted subject who was in a hysterical state. She was transported to PSMC for evaluation.

16:56 - RP came to the Police Department to report his Blue Samsung Slide phone lost at Exit Glacier parking lot.

17:14 - RP reported a very old small black dog with a red collar wandering in and out of traffic near NAPA. The dog is possibly blind. The dog ran up Phoenix and the Officer was unable to catch it. Message left for animal control.

19:20 - An ambulance was requested at the High School Ball Field for a 15 year old male loosing his vision and having numbness in his hands. He advised that he rode his bike down Mt Marathon yesterday and couldn’t remember if he wrecked or not. He had not taken any football hits but had been running.

20:22 - RP reported loosing his black leather wallet with all his ID and credit cards near the Chevron Station.

August 5

08:45 - RP lost her wallet and was last seen at the Bakery. Info in Lost/Found Book. Officer spoke with RP.

13:15 - RP requested an Officer for an agency assist in going through some property at 400 BLK Madison. Officer responded.

13:51 - HMO turned in a City National Bank Check Card. City National Bank was advised and will contact owner. 23:52 - Given to RICHARD FORTNER, AK/OLN TEMP.LIC/T552458 for taillight requirements at 3rd and Jefferson.

00:08 VERBAL WARNING x2 Given to AARON FINCH AK/OLN, LIC/PBRPLZ for utilizing off-road lights and window tint at Mile 1 Seward.

00:49 - RP called 911 requesting psychiatric help, advising someone has intentions to sexually assault her. Officers responded and spoke with RP who agreed to speak with a counselor in the morning. She was given the non emergency number to contact if she needs further assistance.

04:33 - Received a 911 call from (907)******* near the lagoon. No sounds of distress were heard, only loud music. Message left upon callback. Information given to officer.

05:28 RP - called 911 advising that SUBJECT slashed the front tires of his camper, LIC/GTV345 at the Airforce Rec Camp before leaving in a purple Nissan Pathfinder, advising that she will be back with the title to seize the camper. Officer responded and contacted the RP who he does not wish to press charges. Officer then contacted other involved parties at Sealion Ave and Diamond Blvd and returned with them to the scene to mediate a compromise between the involved parties.

06:18 - RP called advising of a deck light which has been left illuminated on a vessel docked at space . RP advised the light is covered by a canvas and is a fire hazard. On call harbor personnel was contacted and responded.

18:20 - Citation issued to ERIN NICHOLE WHITE, AK/OLN, while driving FJM553 on Seward Highway at the Rec Camp for failure to stop at a stop sign. Verbal warning given for failure to carry proof of insurance, speeding, and failure to register vehicle

16:52 - Verbal warning giving to DAVID EASTERDAY, OLN/IL, while driving GWA575 at 2nd and D St for Speed.

16:59 - Citation issued to ANDREW KENT NUCKLES, AK/OLN while driving FFX391 at 3rd and D St. failure to stop at a stop sign.

19:01 - RP complained about noise coming from the pavilion near the skate park. Officer responded and heard a speech but not music.

19:27 - RP turned in a purse found in the small park near the ball field.

07:53 - Anonymous RP advised of a man passed out on the side of the road at Hemlock and Diamond. Officer responded and made contact with subject. Officers provided transport for subject to Gateway Apartments where a friend will watch him. PBT .207.

09:38 - 911 misdial from the Comm Room alarm at Mountain Haven. Callback revealed all ok and maintenance will check on it. Officer advised.

10:04 - 911 pocket dial from (911) ******. Could hear KFT boat safety briefing in background, no sounds distress. Officer advised.

10:28 - 911 misdial from subject at 500 blk 3rd Avenue. All ok. Officer advised.

11:28 - 911 pocket dial from SMIC area. Unable to call back. No sounds distress. Officer advised.

11:29 - RP, requested an Officer to Forest Acres Campground for campers who may of cut down some alders and were possibly armed. Officer responded with P&R campground host.

August 6

07:53 - Anonymous RP advised of a man passed out on the side of the road at Hemlock and Diamond. Officer responded and made contact with subject. Officers provided transport for subject to Gateway Apartments where a friend will watch him. PBT .207.
