Senate Race

Letter to the Editor

Senate Race

Dear Editor

If the Senate campaign was an actual race, Mark Begich would be thousands of miles ahead. While he’s been traveling around the state and meeting Alaskans, his opponents are happy letting Outside groups do the talking for them. A few weeks ago, Sen. Begich was making the rounds here on the Kenai Peninsula as part of a trip around the state involving over 25 events. During the same time, his opponents—all three combined—went to only 10 events. And it’s not like they have other responsibilities: Begich is the one busy actually being senator. Don’t let the outside groups fool you.

Sen. Begich’s dedication to his job and constituents is inarguable. The same cannot be said for those who seek his office.
