Weather Permitting - June 12, 2014

Water drips but doesn't fall much as a pretty dry summer persists in the Seward area. Without much winter precipitation or snowpack, chasing waterfalls in the Seward area may provide diminishing returns as the summer progresses. Water lovers will just have to get used to rivers and lakes if they want to have it their way or else put up with little or nothing at all. For now, the beaten path south from Two Lakes Park provides an excellent view of a small brook tumbling down the mountainside and a companion path to the west winds its way up to impressive falls halfway up Mount Marathon.
