Faculty and staff wave goodbye to departing students at Seward Elementary as they scatter to the four winds. Far from the dog days of summer, the last days of school arrived for Seward youth in an uncharacteristically warm May. After 18 days of mostly sunny weather, the winds finally brought clouds and showers to the Seward area on Tuesday. A little rain is unlikely to dampen enthusiasm for the change in weather, but a forecast looking down the barrel of at least 10 days of cloudy and wet weather might.
