Glorious day for harbor opening

Wolfgang Kurtz | The Seward Phoenix LOG

The deck of the good ship Osprey was a good vantage point to enjoy the boat parade celebrating Seward Harbor's opening weekend. A handful of local vessels led by the tug Junior, went on a jaunt to the Alaska SeaLife Center and then back to the small boat harbor. It was a definite improvement over last year, when the event was cancelled due to cold and wind, as the wind chill broached the upper 20s.
