Coach James Wardlow, Masha Hart, Charlie Mack, Haley Boor and Coach Joey Cross present a unified front at the 2014 Alaska State NYO competition in Anchorage last week. The three musketeers in the middle – Hart, Mack and Boor – put in a solid effort on the expedition to the big city that wrapped up the season.

This weekend was a blast. Three athletes travelled from Seward to Anchorage to compete at the 44th Annual Native Youth Olympics held at the Dena'ina Center. The athletes that made the trip were Haley Boor, Charlie Mack and Masha Hart.

All three of them pushed themselves to go their personal best or beat their personal best. Haley was close to getting fifth place in the Kneel Jump. If she would've hopped an inch further she was would've taken fifth.

Charlie did really well in his events. He put his heart in the games and tried his best. For both Haley and Charlie this was their first competition for the 7th to 12th grade age group of Native Youth Olympics.

Masha had a lot of fun because this wasn't her first time at this competition. She showed a lot of sportsmanship towards her competitors and other athletes.

Joey Cross was assistant coach this season. He was a big help with the athletes.
