Wolfgang Kurtz | The Seward Phoenix LOG

A lone moose browses in the Salmon Creek lowlands against the backdrop of Mt. Alice on a clear and crisp April morning. A weather system is due to move in Friday and cloudy skies may persist through late next week. Moose nor man can hope for a moonrise over the Resurrection Range on Tuesday when, behind the clouds, there will be a total eclipse of a full moon with totality from 11:06 p.m. to 1:25 a.m. on April 15. The weather forecast puts the Seward area under snowy skies for local moonrise at 10:33 p.m., April 14.
