Michael Wolfe led scoring for the Seward High School boys basketball team with 20 points Friday in an away game against Nikiski. Michael Moore was just a point back with 19. Wolfe and Ronnie Jackson each managed two three pointers apiece with Jackson and Alex Pahno scoring 14 and 12 points respectively. First quarter play put 20 up on the board but the Seahawks took off in the third with 28 and in the fourth quarter when Pahno and Michael Marshall turned up the power.

The Seahawks girls gained some momentum in the fourth quarter of their game against the Bulldog girls with Laura Kromrey, Kiana Clemens and Ashley VonBorstel leading scoring, but took away a 45-25 loss from the encounter.

The next day, with home-court advantage, Laura Kromrey and Maria Jackson led scoring as the Seahawks girls lost 42-26 to the Homer Mariners girls.

When the Seahawks men took the floor, Michael Wolfe became a threat from the outside popping up five three pointers to lead scoring in a 62-35 win. Ronnie Jackson pulled off a three pointer and seven free throw points and Matthew Moore rounded out the top three scorers with six two-point baskets.

The Seahawks basketball army has travelled to Cordova for the Regions and the girls will face Grace at 3 p.m. today while the boys will play Cordova at 7:30 p.m. Live streaming action is available at
