Moore leads Seahawks over Nikiksi

Senior Matthew Moore, #24, hit his stride out in front of a refocused Seahawks boys varsity squad to drop in a personal best of 34 points as the Seahawks routed Nikiski Friday to rack up a third win over a four-game stretch.

Senior Matthew Moore, #24, hit his stride out in front of a refocused Seahawks boys varsity squad to drop in a personal best of 34 points as the Seahawks routed Nikiski Friday to rack up a third win over a four-game stretch.

Ronnie Jackson, Alex Pahno and Michael Wolfe pounded in the majority of the balance of baskets for a final score of 82 to 69 at Nikiski High School.

The Seahawks ladies faced a formidable Nikiski defense and were turned away with a 39-30 loss.

Niskiski travels to Seward this week for the rematch on Friday, beginning with JV games at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, the Seahawks will host Homer for the last home regular season game during Senior Night play.

Seahawks basketball play at Seward High School Friday and Saturday will feature Urbach's Youth Basketball League players in showcase half-time games.
