Churches provide Thanksgiving meals, fellowship

A number of Seward churches are hosting special services of praise and thanksgiving for the Thanksgiving holiday, to which the public is cordially invited!

Thanksgiving Eve Service

7 p.m., Nov. 27 - The Episcopal, Methodist and Lutheran churches are gathering for an inter-faith service at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Third and Jefferson, with the theme, "Why I Am Especially Thankful This Year." Short stories of thanksgiving will be shared during the service, interspersed with songs, readings and prayers. An offering will be gathered for the He Will Provide Food Pantry. Thanksgiving Day Mass

9:30 a.m., Nov. 28 - Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Fifth and Jefferson, will celebrate a special Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. For information contact Sacred Heart at 224-5414.

Giving Thanks with Dinner

4:30 p.m., Through Dec. 22 at Eagles Nest Christian Fellowship, Second and Madison, offers a free dinner for the community, every Sunday evening from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the church basement. For information contact Eagles Nest at 224-5635.
