The Seward High School Seahawks football team put a touchdown on the scoreboard in the first three minutes of play in last Friday’s game but couldn’t convert that early momentum into a win as they sparred with the Barrow Whalers through an impressive number of turnovers.

The homecoming game demonstrated that the Seahawks and Whalers were evenly matched, but the visiting team from Barrow slipped through twice too many times. Two missed opportunities at Seahawk pass receptions and the turnovers played into the final score of 20 to 6. The resurgent Seahawks face the Palmer Colony C team this Saturday on their home field for the last game of the season.
