Seward Insurance has been offering home, auto and business insurance for over 20 years. Erick Amberg will be happy to work up a free quote from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. At 710 Third Ave., the Seward Insurance Agency has local residents and business needs in mind. 224-7370.

The morning air is crisp and the sun rises a little later each day upon the storefronts of Seward merchants. The crowds of the summer have subsided to the colors of fall and the challenges of readying for Seward’s other season. However, as the light creeps over the valley and thaws pockets of frost on the ground and in the mind, the hustle and bustle of commerce builds to an afternoon crescendo. An active imagination can summon a vision of a season that never sets.

However shorter the days may be, wallets are fat from the summer harvest and autumn windfalls and it pays to be open for business with the goods to meet the demand. And, as shopkeepers plan for the winter during the sunset of relative warmth, some are deciding to stay the course, remain on target and open for business. Rubbing two coins together won’t always produce another, but staying in circulation guarantees a spark for future prosperity.
