Leon Youngblood | The Seward Phoenix LOG

Zach Martin, Mitchell Moore, Laura Gordon and Ray Waller are in the frontlines at Captain Jack’s while owner Elle Zernia masterminds the packing and shipping of fresh caught seafood. With a great selection of gifts Captain Jack’s is open from 6 a.m. until the last fish comes in at 303 S. Harbor St. in the small boat harbor. You catch it, they ship it anywhere in the U.S. 224-8082.

It’s high noon on the high seas as anglers duke it out with hefty silvers and giant halibut. Charter operators are evenly matched in a battle of the swells. The Small Boat Harbor teems with people – and fish.

It’s the third week of August in Seward and everyone is open for business.
