Leon Youngblood | The Seward Phoenix LOG

Charles Bronson, Leif Bardarson, Rolf Bardarson, Breann Sledge will tool you up at Resurrection Rental. Offering full-line tool rental with battery, chainsaw and equipment sales and repair, there’s no greater selection in Seward. Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, they’ve been in business for 16 years with 31 years at the present location, 804 Fourth Ave. 224-3400.

The action just doesn’t let up with the silvers swimming into Resurrection Bay. The Seward Silver Salmon Derby will be here before long and now is the time to get in some practice. Local merchants can get wannabe anglers set up with gear and a fishing license. Leave the driving to Seward charters operators or find a good spot along the shoreside.

There’s salmon waiting to be caught and grilled but if that’s too much work on a lazy day, Seward area restaurants offer savory pre-caught dishes prepared just about any way that can be imagined. It’s the best time of year to net a seafood meal with award winning chefs and the bounty of the sea just a minute away.
