The Seward Phoenix Log - News of the Eastern Kenai Peninsula since 1966

Thank you

For the fifth year in a row the Sons of American Legion, alongside the American Legion have assisted the local area senior citizen veterans, by offering them a free lunch at the senior center throughout the long winter months. This community project has helped save veterans limited income for winter fuel and the rising cost of groceries, which contributed to the health and well being of our senior citizen community. Their generosity was very well received, encouraged more seniors to eat a wholesome and healthy lunch and enjoy the camaraderie of other like-minded folks.

On behalf of those we serve, five days a week, thank you for your donation to support our local area veterans.

The center continues to provide a “free will” donation lunch program to seniors 60 and older, so we encourage each and every senior, whether you are working or not, to stop by and try the special of the day.
