The following is from the journals of the Seward Police Department

Feb. 11

16:46 - Individual reported that power was out to half her house on Dimond.

17:50 - Small black plastic case with pepper spray found outside old library building on Fifth.

18:01 - Automated alarm at Seward Fire Department activated.

20:28 - AK Monitoring Communication Center called to report an audible fire alarm at SeaView Center, 601 Sixth.

Feb. 12

08:50 - SFD administrative assistant advised false alarm at the Seward Fire Department. Officer reset alarm.

11:56 - Individual requested an officer to the AVTEC dorm office for marijuana that someone found.

12:29 - TelAlaska was testing 911 at Safeway.

14:43 - Individual reported an avalanche about halfway down Lowell Point Road.

15:10 - Owner picked up his wallet from SPD lost and found.

18:30 - Citation issued for no brake lights and no proof of insurance to Joshua Carman on Seward Highway at Safeway.

18:33 - Guardian Security Company reported front window alarm activated at 1500 Third, Resurrection Auto Parts. Call cancelled at 18:36 per Security Company.

19:21 - 911 misdial.

19:57 - Individual reported a red Toyota car with only one headlight driving north on Jefferson at Third, and stated that she thought it was a motorcycle.

20:37 - Individual reported having snowballs thrown at her windows that were tearing the screen of her window. She also reported someone taking pictures from the end of the driveway and woods at residence on Birch.

Feb. 13

01:34 - 911 caller stated that the call had been an accident but when asked for his name he gave one which returned in APSIN as a female. He stated he was at a residence on Fourth. Officers responded to the location and contacted caller who was the subject spoken to on the 911 call. All OK.

08:50 - High School conducted a fire drill.

11:52 - Individual reported that a female was possibly intoxicated and driving in a vehicle just Glacier View Apartments. Officer made contact with driver and advised negative DUI.

12:14 - Avalanche reported halfway down Lowell Point Road. Public Works reported road open by 13:50.

14:46 - Street closed signs posted on Fourth and Fifth from Adams to Railway.

15:02 - Individual reported that a vehicle had been parked on Fifth by the post office for several months and may be abandoned. Officer placed abandoned vehicle notice on it.

15:42 - Verbal warning for registration issued at Third and Washington.
