The Seward Phoenix Log - News of the Eastern Kenai Peninsula since 1966

Thank you

If you have been to any of the high school volleyball games this month, you may have noticed the pink warm up shirts the team has been wearing. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and teams across the nation join in the cause by sporting pink gear on the court.

The Seahawk volleyball team would like to express our sincere gratitude to the American Legion Auxiliary for their very generous contribution providing the entire team and coaches with these tie-dye pink ribbon shirts. We would also like to thank Stylin’ Stitches for helping make these shirts possible. The Never Give Up logo on the back is worn with pride during this month, as we hope to help bring awareness to this very important cause.

On behalf of SHS volleyball,

— Shareen Meehan Adelmann, “Team Mom”
