Sept. 13
00:32 - Verbal warning for inoperative taillight issued at Seward Highway and Sea Lion.
00:48 - Verbal warning for speed issued at Third and D.
01:46 - Verbal warning for speed issued at Third and Van Buren.
11:47 - Two 911 callers reported loud music at a unit in Gateway Apartments. Officer made contact with the subject and gave them a disorderly conduct warning.
13:23 - Individual reported there was Volkswagen Jetta that had been parked across from Van Buren for over a week. Officer advised that owner stated that the vehicle was disabled and they would move it as soon as possible.
13:33 - 911 caller requested an ambulance to Phoenix Drive for a female who slit her wrist in a suicide attempt. Officers, SVFD/SVAC responded and transported the subject to PSMC
13:35 - Two 911 callers advised of a fire drill at Mountain Haven.
14:11 - Individual reported someone was at his place on Benson and was taking a bike from the shed. Reporting party requested an officer to make sure that it was the owner of the bike.
14:23 - Burn permit to resident on Benson for Sept. 15 only.
14:30 - Seward Library turned in a notebook that had been there for a week.
15:46 - 911 misdial.
18:32 - Citation for speed issued to Michael Walton at Third and Van Buren.
21:40 - Individual was placed into protective custody and transported to SCJ. PBT.196.
23:04 - Individual reported loud, violent sounds coming from the apartment below the stairs Bayside Apartments. Officers told subject to keep the noise down.
Sept. 14
01:29 - Individual reported a black bear was in the area around the buildings at in the 300 block of Third.
08:00 - Individual reported that someone stole a 5 kilowatt Northern Light Generator, anchors, handrails, prop and gauges from his boat, F/V Will II, at the SMIC Drydock.
09:00 - AVTEC advised that they would conduct flare/smoke drills from 09:00 to 13:00.
09:00 - 911 misdial.
11:37 - IMS advised they would be burning with their smart ash burner during the day.
14:31 - 911 misdial.
15:06 - 911 caller requested an ambulance to Fourth. The young female stated that her sister fell and hit her head. The father of the girls came on the line and stated that they did not need an ambulance.
19:00 - Citation for headlight out issued to Jeffrey Hagensick next to Essential One.
19:20 - Individual reported a male passed out at Third and Railway. Officer contacted subject who was intoxicated but able to care for himself and asked to go home.
20:24 - Verbal warning for not displaying tabs on license plate issued on Seward Highway next to Chamber of Commerce.
Sept. 15

10:25 - PSMC ER requested an ambulance to the Cruise Ship Terminal for a female who had fallen.
11:10 - Individual reported one of the animal shelter dogs was at Lowell Point.
12:15 - Officer responded to a request from a hotel for a guest who was not leaving at check out time and that his credit card was not good. Subject was advised of his operator’s license status.
13:52 - Black bear reported on Fourth next to GCI.
15:58 - 911 hangup call.
16:49 - Female caller reported a black bear behind Peking Restaurant.
18:19 - SAST requested that medics stage, until further notice, at Salmon Creek Trailer Park for an assault victim with unknown injuries.
18:19 - SAST requested SPD officer assistance with an assault at Salmon Creek Trailer Park. Arrested were Tasha Iverson for DUI, Arthur Pelch Jr. for misconduct weapons and assault, and Rodger Hayward for assault and unlawful contact.
Sept. 16
00:34 - 911 caller requested that an officer get the keys to her apartment back from her husband. Caller sounded intoxicated. Officer advised her that it was a civil issue between her and her husband, and that she should not call 911.
03:10 - Multiple callers reported power outage from Lowell Point to Mile 24 Seward Highway, including a report that two transformers had blown at approximately Mile 24.2.
03:24 - Caller reported two trees had fallen across the Seward Highway, one at Mile 19.5 and the other between Mile 21 and 22.
03:35 - Caller from Guardian Security reported that they had received a power failure alarm from Aurora Energy Services.
05:18 - SAST advised that a 911 caller from Edgewater Hotel reported that she saw sparks coming from the smoke stack at Alaska Nellie’s Restaurant. Officer was unable to locate any spark-ing. Officer met with reporting party and advised that it was large rain drops reflecting light from a nearby street light and not sparks.
08:11 - Officer reported flooding across Levee Road.
08:14 - Officer reported flooding on the bike path between Nash Road and the storage facility.
08:49 - Seward Fisheries reported a small ammonia leak, but did not want the fire department at the time. They would advise when they found and stopped the leak, or if further help was needed. At 09:16 Seward Fisheries advised that the leak was found and fixed.
09:04 - Street department advised of a landslide on Lowell Point Road. At 10:55 the slide was cleaned up
09:41 - Hotel Seward reported that male guests were ask to leave due to intoxication and that they jumped into a white Ford F150 in the parking lot. Officer found that the two went to the Van Gilder Hotel to sleep.
10:58 - Citation for headlight out issued to James Hetrick in the north 72-hour parking lot.
11:23 - Officer requested a case number for violation of conditions of release.
12:07 - Another landslide on Lowell Point Road reported.
14:29 - Officer responded to a request for a civil standby on Dora Way, and stood by while subject retrieved her items form the residence.
14:38 - Smoke alarm received from SCCC. SPD called Master Control and they advised that they did not have an alarm. Fire officer advised. Master Control advised that it is a small mainte-nance issue and they will work on it.
15:23 - Individual reported a little black bear cub in a tree at Sixth and Madison.
15:45 - Citation issued to Julie Wilder at Fifth and A.
16:30 - Caller reported a black bear in the tree at Sixth and Monroe. Bear had a wounded paw. Fish and Wildlife notified and would take care of it in the morning.
18:04 - The waterfall was filling with dirt and sand. Railway at Ballaine was flooded in the north lane.
18:22 - Airport runway was flooded. Water was 3 or 4 inches from the road at Nash and Salmon Creek roads.
19:17 - Welfare check requested for a subject at the waterfront campground.
20:47 - Individual from cruise ship terminal requested medics to dock for an elderly female who fell and hit her head.

08:59 - SAST and BCVFD advised that the Forest Service would be burning up at the Tern Lake area.
13:42 - Individual reported that his crab pot puller block worth $1,600 was stolen from his boat.
17:45 - Earthquake, magnitude 5.2, 90 miles southwest of Kodiak at a depth of 27 miles. No tsunami was expected.
18:20 - Little black bear reported in the alley behind the Moby Dick Hostel.
20:40 - Verbal warning for high beams and taillight issued at Third and Madison.
21:08 - Caller reported a truck against the tree at the horse corral. Officer found the truck with no one inside and the fence destroyed. Owners responded to fix the fence to keep the horses from getting out. Raymond M. Harris arrested on MVA DUI, failure to report a motor vehicle accident and criminal mischief, five charges. Vehicle was impounded by Glacier Towing at owner’s request. IR .237.
Sept. 18
05:35 - High wind warnings were in effect for the Portage, Turnagain and eastern Kenai Peninsula from 1 a.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m. Wednesday. Flood warning for zone 125 Eastern Kenai Peninsula and Valdez starting late Sept. 18 through Thursday afternoon.
06:45 - Public works advised that Lowell Point Road was closed and they would work on it shortly. Road opened at 07:29 hours.
11:30 - SAST reported a 1-year-old female fell out of chair and hit her head. Called back on the 911 line and found that an ambulance was needed and on its way.
1305 - PSMC advised that they were doing a fire drill. At the same time an alarm company called and advised that there was a fire alarm at the hospital.
Sept. 19
01:47 - Citation for not to stop/park in a loading zone issued to Hertz on Fifth in front Edgewater.
04:25 - Ambulance requested to Mountain Haven for a female with breathing problems. SVAC/SVFD responded and patient was transported to the hospital.
10:40 - Levee Road was closed to public traffic.
11:11 - Landslide on Lowell Point Road reported.
11:16 - National Parks advised that Exit Glacier Road at Mile 7 was closed due to flooding.
11:23 - Water and dirt reported to be running across the roadway at Mile 4.5 Seward Highway.
11:51 - Individual reported that the northbound lane in front of City Express was under water.
12:00 - A landslide on Lowell Point Road was reported and completely blocking the road.

12:55 - Resurrection Seafoods inquired if the public works shut of the water or if a pipe broke.
13:02 - A tree was reported down on Mill Street. Traffic was able to get around it.
13:03 - Harbor department closed Port Avenue.
13:16 - Low tank alarm from Lowell Canyon.
13:40 - About 25 911 callers reported a tree on the power line between Fourth and Fifth on Madison.
13:40 - Power went out due to the tree on the power line. EOC advised that the power is going to be shut off.
14:04 - BCVFD evacuated their station.
14:30 - Individual reported a tree down on Sea Lion.
15:00 - Kacy Burke issued a summons for failure to insure vehicle.
19:32 - A piece of asphalt broke loose at Afognak Logging. Barricades were put up.
21:00 - Individual from the feed store said that front foundation of her store was washed away and some electrical wiring was hanging.
