SPD offers opportunity to safely dispose of medicines
An opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Safeway.
The Seward Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will coordinate the drug take back and the medications for disposal can be taken to Safeway Pharmacy on Sept. 29. The service is free and anonymous. No questions will be asked.
The Seward Police Department, in Seward City Hall at Fourth and Adams, accepts unused prescription medications for destruction anytime.
