As Seward said goodbye to the last few cruise ships, the special train arrived with a loud blast of its horn.

As Seward said goodbye to the last few cruise ships, the special train arrived with a loud blast of its horn. The passenger train also is winding up its tourist season here.

Holland America’s last cruise ship, the Statendam, arrived a night early and stayed in Seward an extra night due to stormy conditions at sea. It also experienced a power outage for about 45 minutes Saturday night, during while their generator was brought on line, which passengers and crew members described as quite an interesting experience.
