The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hickory sits up on the blocks at Seward Marine Industrial Center last week. The 225-foot seagoing bouy tender with a crew of 40 enlisted and seven officers cruises the waters around the Kenai Peninsula. Her primary mission is aids to navigation, but she also works with search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, marine environmental protection and homeland security.
