Polar Bear Jump Off signup available
People who want to leap into frigid Resurrection Bay for the Seward Polar Bear Jump Off in January can now register. The fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is set for Jan. 18-20, with the jump on Jan. 19.
In order to jump, participants must raise at least $750 and turn in their contributions by 11:45 a.m. on jump day. The number of participants is limited to 150, and about half of the slots are already filled. To register or volunteer send an email to pbjumpers@yahoo.com.
