School starts Tuesday
Classes start at local schools on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Students and parents will receive a handbook that is chock full of information about each school and Kenai Peninsula Borough School District.
Even more information is available on the district website, www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us, where there are links to websites for each school.
Also on the web are school bus schedules and lunch menus.
Registration for many schools was earlier this month. Hope, Cooper Landing and Seward High are open for registration today and tomorrow.
The district expects students to meet immunization requirements before classes begin.
Schools are open until May 22, with a two-week break at Christmas and a spring break from March 11-15.

Seward Middle School holds classes from 7:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Phone: 224-9000.
Seward High classes are from 7:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Phone: 224-3351.
Moose Pass Elementary is 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Phone: 288-3183.
Cooper Landing Elementary classes are 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Phone: 595-1244.
