Light of Hope changes name, Ingalls comes to be pastor

Max Ingalls and his family have come to Seward where he will serve as pastor of Seward City Church, formerly Light of Hope Ministries.

They have come from Anchorage where Max worked as a roofing contractor for several years. He also served as both an Elder/Overseer And As The Children’s Ministry Director at Anchorage City Church (ACC). The former Light of Hope Ministries and ACC have linked together to form Seward City Church, now officially a satellite campus of ACC.

Sevices will continue at 10 a.m. each Sunday at Seward Middle School.

Plans of finishing phase one of the church building project off of Nash Road will resume soon with hopes of occupying the building before snow fall.

Pastor Ingalls and his wife Deanna have three children — Trey (10), Hailey (6), and Juniper (4). They look forward in establishing community and serving the city as needed.

Al and Donna Woods, who have served as interim pastors for the past two years, plan to remain in Seward for at least the next year and assist the church and help finish the construction of the building, as well as, mentor the new pastor. They will also work with the oversight team of City Church Anchorage in planting and supervising new churches in Alaska.
